Krishnamacharya

Arguably the most important yogi of all time. His grandson is chanting the sutras. This is part one of a series on youtube, and they're all amazing.

I worked with a contortionist (i know diff stuff) at the Don. She's amazing in her own right, check on utube for Samantha Halas.

oh wow. holy cats.

now, what is the practice of being a yogi all about? other than striking contortionist buddha poses, what's the deal with it? what makes him arguably the greatest of all time? his physical prowess, though, is pretty astonishing, even as it makes me sort of wince in pain.

I think it's the idea that he made yoga more accessible due to his approach and teaching method. I think a yogi is about being a teacher? I'm no expert..
