there are thirteen ways of
looking at infinity and
half a dozen empty
beers on the counter to
days left behind and left
still to finish too
many things to see you who
laissez-faire so much you
who live with someone so
crazy but the
sun-fall on them
ship-bare shoulders there the sum
total of
arithmetic and
all truths.

thirteen ways of looking at infinity: fantastic
nice!
thanks, but wallace stevens just called from beyond the grave to claim that "thirteen ways of looking at a blackbird" came first. :)
by coincidence, he also just called me and said that he likes to share, and likes the new direction.
heh. nice.
connections between truth and numbers are always interesting to me, from a methodological point of view our faith in numbers amazes me.
yeah, me too.
partly intentionally, and partly not, numbers became a recurring theme here.
thirteen-- infinity-- 1/2 a dozen-- empty (i.e. zero)-- to days (two days)-- too/two many-- sum-- total-- arithmetic--.
but at the end i wrote "truths" and not "truth". which is quite different.
