Simply put, it makes me sad that it's subject is fighting, but happy that it's your drawing. I'm sure grateful that my life has not yet known the experience of war. I hope none of us ever really know what it's like.
Great work. I was quite saddened to learn that most of the school division has done away with having veterans come in to the schools and share personal experiences. This was due to the violent overtones of the stories. I think reality of war is more of a deterrant for future generations. Just giving the kids another day to shop accomplishes very little.
